Are we sure this use of narco- is the same as in narcotics and not as in narcolepsy? The use that linked me to this page was Aldous Huxley's use of "narcohypnosis" as it occurs in "Brave New World", narcohypnosis then referred to the whispering into the ears of people while they sleep, but not while they're under the influence of drugs.
