Normative note

[edit]

This word is basically nonsense. "orthotypographic mistakes" is what we refer to as "typographic mistakes"; "orthotypographic errors" are "typographic errors"; and "orthotypographic conventions" is what is known as "typographic conventions". There exist mathematical mistakes, and these are not referred to as "orthomathematical mistakes"; there are mathematical conventions and these are not "orthomathematical conventions". --Dan Polansky (talk) 11:07, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Couldn't the same be said of orthographic? PUC11:19, 23 July 2020 (UTC) Reply
Maybe so. In English, we make "spelling mistakes", and much less "orthographic mistakes"; spelling mistakes,(orthographic mistakes*50) at the Google Books Ngram Viewer.. The word "orthography" seems to be of continental origin, but I am not sure. --Dan Polansky (talk) 11:35, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
