The military use of the word peel is somewhat insufficient. Although it is used in parade formations, it is also used in organized retreats to maintain a constant fire on the enemy while the main force pulls back. ~Chad

From RFC[edit]

"to peel off" has its own sense. Should it be its own entry, or should that sense be put into the same sense list as the others? Rod (A. Smith) 01:26, 29 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I moved it. Davilla 18:38, 29 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
