This entry suggests that 'pledger' and 'pledgor' are the same thing when in fact they are not! A 'pledger' gives a pledge, while a 'pledgor', as in a legal sense, is someone who has affirmed or attested something. I am in legal proofreading and have come across this mistake many times and came here to see if there was any reference and found the same mistake! 63.118.154.94 indeed edited the entry, but the edit was subsequently reverted. My edition of Black's only gives the pledgor spelling and the reversion must stand. Should 63.118.154.94 return, perhaps he/she could cite a source for his/her apparently authoritative remark. Augusta2 (talk) 22:48, 30 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
