I've heard of "prossie" (which I've just added to the rhymes) but not "prosty" - is this local usage (US/Aus/NZ/...)?

I believe it is U.S. slang, also spelt prostie ... I'll try to dig up quotes — DavidL 12:12, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC).
so far have found "an ex-prostie mom" via google ( http://www.mdmafia.blogspot.com/2004_08_01_mdmafia_archive.html )
My impression is that this is mainly a northeastern usage (New York, New England or thereabouts). I don't recall hearing it growing up in the midwest, and for whatever reason I associate it with a Boston or New York accent. Not much to go on, but maybe someone else can confirm or deny? -dmh 14:14, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)
