As far as I know, a reticle is not only used in astronomy; it's orignallyt the targeting lines for a gunsight, but also refers to sight lines in a camera viewfinder. I will try to research and find out more. Not sure if it warrants a wikipedia article, tho.

It seems that cutaneous reticle, also called rete mucosum, is an old (probably obsolete) term for what Wikipedia calls the w:Malpighian layer (a layer of the skin). Not sure if that's something that should go on the page for reticle. --Qef (talk) 09:23, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
