@Mar vin kaiser For the definition of this one, I got it from KWF's Diksiyonaryo.ph listed at their "sa-" entry.

For the examples, if I decided to provide some to confirm what KWF said, usually, I look at the current uploaded inventory of word entries in the relevant wiktionary categories, like the #S entries in Category:Tagalog lemmas, ideally where I can easily see words affixed with it if I Ctrl+F and have the browser highlight them or if I recently saw it in an online book source or website I managed to find, otherwise if it's not in any of those, I'll try to remember which words ring a bell that apply then search up that word in the online dictionary websites I have bookmarked to try to understand the defining essence (to get the most matching English word to define it, if putting KWF's definition through Google translate won't easily give me an easy copy-pastable comprehensible translation, or at least it needs to be grammatically corrected), morphology, phonology, etymology of the word if all of these line up together.

If I decide to invest more time into looking into the etymology and/or definition or just to explain through usage notes how it works, the online resources I consult for Tagalog are usually those listed in Wiktionary:About_Tagalog#Resources (at least for etymology). Some of the books you mentioned before, I tried to find them online if there's a free ebook place that provides a pdf. half the time even in free ebook pirating sites I found, I couldn't find an available online browsable copy or just the Google Books one that allows a limited search, otherwise some sort of paywall or create-an-account blocks some pages. If Google shows that the paper or book is in JSTOR, wiki notified me some time ago that I get access to view it. Otherwise, gotta google stuff if I decided to invest more time into a certain matter about a certain word or affix I'm looking into. A lot of times, it just takes long without much result even when I've googled it in Google Books, then someone irl reminds me that I should get back to work on my real job or eat or sleep already, then I thought at the end of the day, maybe I shouldnt've gotten sucked into wikt editing again today. @Mlgc1998: Resources sent. All of those are good sources for affix information. By the way, don't think we should be guessing whether words are composed to affixes unless it's shown in a source, expect maybe if it's super self-evident, but a lot of the affixes like "sa-" are very old affixes, some of them have fossilized and meanings have changed, so it's hard to say for sure if it's really an affix. I think we can theorize though, if there's evidence for it, and include it as a conjecture in the etymology. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 13:19, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
