Narrow transcription[edit]

@Science boy 30 Narrow transcriptions are indeed not wrong per se, though they are whenever in slashes / /, which indicate a phonemic transcription. Since phonemic transcriptions are very useful, I wouldn't remove them in favour of phonetic transcription. We can have both, as in
IPA(key): /sɑɫˈɡɯn/, [s̟ɑɫ̟ˈɡɯn̟]
I personally don't think the phonetic transcription in this case is very useful, still it wouldn't be wrong or disallowed. Catonif (talk) 11:07, 6 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
