I'm a native Swede: The Etymology of this article is totally wrong. "Skikjøring" sounds more Danish or possibly Norwegian than Swedish, even thinking about historical spelling. Article says "from ski + kjøring (“‘driving’”)". Wrong, wrong, wrong! In Swedish, there's no word "ski" or "kjøring" (we don't even use that character ø, but ö). "Ski" in Swedish is "skida" and "kjöring" would be "körning", but there's no Swedish word "skidkörning" (a omitted, yes). The Swedish word is plainly "skidåkning" ((cross-country) skiing) or, less commonly used nowadays, "skida". /10-07-06

Yes, clearly Norwegian. Thanks for pointing this out. I have corrected the etymology now. Tack ska du ha! --LA2 07:45, 26 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
