Why does it say that this is a doublet of smalt, smalto and email (uncommon sense) but not "smelt", "enamel" and related common English words? They all seem to have the same roots in Proto-Germanic *smeltaną (“to melt”) (or more locally in from Frankish *smalt)?
Also, is there a way to point the link to the intended sense of "email" since right now it goes to the common sense (which is just "electronic mail")?
