Possible etymology[edit]

Could it be a borrowing from Old High German scāf meaning sheep? Old High German to Polish loan words consistently have sc > szk and f > p since Old Polish didn't have a /f/ phoneme. SKOgoras (talk) 12:16, 14 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
