Talk:turbulences

I don't agree that the plural of turbulence is turbulences. It's like fish or sheep or aircraft.

i.e.

We will be expecting some turbulence during the flight.

as opposed to:

We will be expecting some turbulences during the flight.

Turbulence is in its nature already plural in a way. ( I am no grammar expert) for me it is like sand, or snow.

Does anyone have a thought on this?

Some senses are usually uncountable, yes. I have tried to show this on the turbulence page. Widsith 15:14, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
