Quotation

[edit]

What sense of vertiginous is the quotation referring to? Feeling giddy? Being at a great height and looking down at the world 'deep' below? I would prefer a quotation in which the intended meaning is clearer. —DIV (49.179.13.5 02:28, 7 August 2022 (UTC))Reply

Having said that a quick search online indicates that this word is mostly used metaphorically or figuratively, so that the intended meaning is perhaps even less obvious than when used in a (kind of) simile.
I did quite like "Vertiginously challenged. The art of walking in high heels" [1], though .
