Parameters[edit]
The template takes the following parameters:
|1=– mandatory: the rank of the taxon, eg, species, genus, family, subfamily, superfamily, class, subclass, phylum, subphylum, etc.|2=– optional: the bacteria name if it is not the same as the pagename. If the name is multipart, as a species name, then parameter 2 should contain the name with the components separated by hyphens.|3=– optional: the text to display, if different from the bacteria name or the pagename.|noi=– optional: by default the linked term will be italicized. To disable italicization, set|noi=1.
Experimentation with rank (parameter 1) and the spelling of the taxon (parameter 2) to find the recognized spelling, which may make the taxon you entered a synonym.
