Usage

Provides a reference to Foras na Gaeilge's New English-Irish Dictionary, and a link to that entry in an online edition at http://www.focloir.ie/.

{{R:ga:NEID}} with no parameter supplied will use the current pagename as the link. If a parameter is supplied, it will use that instead. If the desired pagename consists of more than one word, then this template will automatically replace spaces between words with an underscore _.

Please note that this is an English to Irish dictionary, so if you search for a spelling that exists in both Irish and English (such as teach, which can be either the Irish word for “house” or the English word for “instruct”), it will find the English term. A user looking for the Irish term will then have to click "Irish > English (reverse search)" on the target page.
