Usage[edit]

This template may be used on Wiktionary entry pages to quote Rudolf M. Schuster's multi-volume work The Hepaticae and Anthocerotae of North America (1966– ). As these works are not yet available online, the template does not create external links.

Parameters[edit]

The template takes the following parameters:

  • |volume=mandatory: the volume number quoted from in uppercase Roman numerals, either |volume=I or |volume=V. At present, these are the only volumes of the work that can be quoted using this template. For help with adding additional volumes, please leave a message on the talk page or at "Wiktionary:Grease pit".
  • |chapter= – the name of the chapter quoted from.
  • |1= or |page=, or |pages= – the page number(s) quoted from. When quoting a range of pages, separate the first and last pages of the range with an en dash, like this: |pages=110–111.
  • |text= or |passage= – a passage to be quoted from the work.
  • |brackets= – use |brackets=on to surround a quotation with brackets. This indicates that the quotation either contains a mere mention of a term (for example, "some people find the word manoeuvre hard to spell") rather than an actual use of it (for example, "we need to manoeuvre carefully to avoid causing upset"), or does not provide an actual instance of a term but provides information about related terms.
