This template is used for quotations from Cáin Adomnáin, a 7th-to-9th-century Old Irish law treatise, abbreviated in DIL as Cáin Ad. It takes only one optional parameter. There is also a Middle Irish introduction inserted c. 1000, taking up paragraphs 1-27.
