Displays a banner indicating a page is being kept only for historical purposes, and should therefore not be edited. It also disables the new section link that generally appears on discussion pages in the top right, and by default (see below) disables the all section edit links that appear next to section headings.
Parameters[edit]
|category=(optional)- Content to put after the banner. Defaults to
__NOEDITSECTION__, which disables the section edit links that usually appear next to section headings. Using{{archive notice|category=}}will leave the section edit links enabled (without adding any other content).
