- The headword including marked nasal vowels and long vowels. Mark nasal vowels with

- Transcription. This is for the academic transcription that is used in dissertations and reference grammars of Choctaw. Its primary purpose is to indicate stress, vowel length and glottal ending. Its widespread use in academic discussions of Choctaw merits its inclusion in the heading.

- This is for alienability. Inalienable nouns are those that do not have non-possessed forms. They an obligatory possessive marker. Most nouns in Choctaw are alienable.
- This parameter is mandatory. Leave it blank if a noun is alienable.
