This template is a Lua-free alternative to {{cognate}}, implemented using {{m-lite}}.

Parameters

The parameters are the same as {{cognate}}, except:

|gloss= is not accepted as an alias for |4= and |t=. Use |4= or |t= instead.
|gN= is limited to |g= (or |g1=), |g2=, and |g3=.
|sort= is not available.
|nocat= is not available, but is not necessary, as neither this template nor {{cognate}} ever actually categorize.
|conj= is not available.
