{{{1}}}{{{2}}}

This template should be used when two characters are to be merged into one Plains Cree syllabic. It has two parameters:

|1= the preceding character
|2= the succeding character

For example, if one has the prefix k- (ᐠ), and they want to merge it with the vowel a (ᐊ), the following code is to be used:

{{crk-cans-merge|ᐠ|ᐊ}}

Which yields the syllabic ᑲ.

Examples[edit]

{{crk-cans-merge|ᐨ|ᐁ}} (c|ê) gives ᒉ (cê)
{{crk-cans-merge|ᑊ|ᐓ}} (p|wo) gives ᑁ (pwo)
{{crk-cans-merge|ᐣ|ᐏ}} (n|wi) gives ᓂ (ni); this is because the combinations nwi, nwo, nwî, nwô don't exist in Cree.
{{crk-cans-merge|ᐢ|ᐤ}} (s|w) gives ᐢᐤ (s-w); two consonants can't be merged in Syllabics.
{{crk-cans-merge|ᐤ|ᐏ}} (w|wi) gives ᐤᐏ (w-wi); a w can't merge with another w.
{{crk-cans-merge|ᑐ|ᐁ}} (to|ê) gives ᑐᐁ (to-ê); two different vowels can't merge.
