This template is used in appendices for dictionary-only terms to format information for one term into a table row. It must be manually enclosed by markup to open and close the table.

Parameters

[edit]

If any parameter is omitted it results in an empty cell in the table row generated.

|word= (optional)
The dictionary-only term.
|pos= (optional)
The part of speech of the term.
|etymology= (optional)
The etymology of the term.
|definition= (optional)
The definition of the term.
|dictionaries= (optional)
A list of dictionaries that include the term.
|attestation= (optional)
The number of known recorded uses of the term (outside of dictionaries). Conventionally if this number is not zero it should be a link to the Citations page for the term, listing each use (but this template does not create this link for you).
