This template templatizes information about what color an Egyptian hieroglyph was conventionally colored.

  • Parameter 1 is the color.
  • If parameter 1 is "polychrome", set parameter 2=y to suppress "colored".
  • nodot suppresses the dot

{{egy-hiero-color|yellow}} displays This glyph was conventionally colored yellow. and adds Category:Yellow Egyptian hieroglyphs

{{egy-hiero-color|polychrome|2=y}} displays This glyph was conventionally polychrome. and adds Category:Polychrome Egyptian hieroglyphs

This template is very basic.
