This template should be used just under the ‘Pronoun’ header for Egyptian pronouns, specifying the type, gender, number, person, deictics, and hieroglyphic writing.

Basic usage is

  • {{egy-pron|type|gender-number|person|head=<hiero></hiero>}}

Parameters

The type of pronoun. Possible values are:
  • suffix: suffix pronoun
  • dep: dependent (enclitic) pronoun
  • proclitic: Late Egyptian dependent (proclitic) pronoun
  • indep: independent (stressed) pronoun
  • stative: stative ending/pronoun
  • dem: demonstrative pronoun
  • int: interrogative pronoun
|2=
The gender and/or number of the pronoun, if not unmarked. Possible values are:
  • s: singular (unspecified gender)
  • d: dual (unspecified gender)
  • p: plural (unspecified gender)
  • m: masculine (unspecified number)
  • c: common (unspecified number)
  • f: feminine (unspecified number)
  • m-s: masculine singular
  • c-s: common singular
  • f-s: feminine singular
  • m-d: masculine dual
  • c-d: common dual
  • f-d: feminine dual
  • m-p: masculine plural
  • c-p: common plural
  • f-p: feminine plural
|3=
The grammatical person of personal pronouns (or i for impersonal). Possible values are:
  • 1p: first person
  • 2p: second person
  • 3p: third person
  • i: impersonal
|deictic=
The subtype of demonstrative pronouns, whether proximal, distal, or anaphoric.
|int=
1 if the pronoun is interrogative, leave empty otherwise.
|g2=
An alternative gender.
|head=
Specify the hieroglyphic writing here, enclosed in WikiHiero tags (<hiero></hiero>).
|head2=
An alternative hieroglyphic writing; preferably do not use this, but use an ‘Alternative forms’ subheader with {{egy-hieroforms}} instead.
|cat2=
An optional second part-of-speech category for the word; see {{head}}.
