This template shows an inflection table for Northern Sami words that follow the odd inflection. These words have an accusative/genitive singular form with stress on the third-last syllable. There are four varieties of the template, two for nouns and two for adjectives:
{{se-infl-noun-odd}}
and{{se-infl-adj-odd}}
for words that have consonant gradation. The consonants following the last stressed syllable are in the weak grade in the nominative singular and essive, and in the strong grade in other forms. The vowel following these consonants often alternates as well.{{se-infl-noun-odd-ng}}
and{{se-infl-adj-odd-ng}}
for words that do not have consonant gradation. The consonants following the last stressed syllable are the same in all forms.
This template uses Module:se-nominals as a back-end.
Parameters
[edit]1=
- The stem. This is the accusative/genitive singular form, minus the final vowel. If there are vowel alternations in the stem, use the vowels of the nominative singular form.
final=
- The consonants at the end of the stem are simplified in the nominative singular according to a set of default rules. This parameter overrides those defaults if they are incorrect. For example, final -m normally becomes -n, but varraserum has final -m retained so
final=m
will override the default. noapocope=1
- Use this with gradating words, if the final consonant does not disappear in the nominative singular when it normally would.
noumlaut=1
- Use this with gradating words, if the unstressed vowel does not alternate when it normally would.
Q31=1
- Use this with gradating words, if there is gradation between quantity 3 and quantity 1.
- (nouns only)
n=
- Restricts the forms to a given grammatical number. Use
n=s
for singular only,n=p
for plural only. - (nouns only)
poss=
- Show forms with a possessive suffix attached. Possible values are
1_s
,2_s
,3_s
,1_d
,2_d
,3_d
,1_p
,2_p
,3_p
. - (nouns only)
poss=-
- Use this if the noun has no possessive forms.
- (adjectives only)
attr=
,attr2=
,attr3=
... - By default, the attributive form will be the same as the nominative singular. If it's different, this parameter is used to provide it.
