Documentation for Template:surnames-spain-INE. [edit]
This page contains usage information, categories, interwiki links and other content describing the template.

This template creates surname statistics for surnames in Spain, either in Spanish, Catalan, Basque, Galician, and other languages, per data by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE). The template creates statistics for the surname as a first (paternal) surname and second (maternal) surname, and provinces where the surname is prevalent.

Please note that the numbers displayed in the INE surname statistics use different marks for numeric separators: the period/full stop as the thousand separator, and commas as the decimal mark. The INE database ignores accented vowels (Á, É, Í, Ó, Ú, Ü), but accepts "Ñ".
