Page numbering[edit]

@Sgconlaw Something seems to have changed on Google Books, the generated links for Q1 are no longer valid and just show the cover. – Jberkel 09:22, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Jberkel: it's very strange. The work as a whole is still visible as it's in the public domain, but links to inside pages seem to redirect to the cover. Let me see if I can find an alternative copy; if not, I'll upload a copy to the Internet Archive and link the template to it there instead. — SGconlaw (talk) 11:48, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Sgconlaw: If you swap the pg= parameter in the url from PP[pagenum] to PT[pagenum], it works, but the page is offset by one. Maybe this could be handled inside the template. – Jberkel 11:54, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Jberkel: yes, I noticed that too. It looks like what happened was that Google Books originally used PT but switched it to PP (not PP to PT, right?). However, the works aren't paginated, and if URLs were specified using |url=, these will have to be manually changed. — SGconlaw (talk) 11:58, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Q2[edit]

@Sgconlaw It looks like the Q2 is not from 1604, but 1603, as indicated on the title page. I have trouble locating some text which is supposed to be in Q2. Jberkel 16:35, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Jberkel: it looks like I made a serious mistake when updating the template back in 2022, which I remember nothing about. Perhaps I intended to replace the Google Books version of Q1 with the Internet Archive version, but accidentally replaced the Q2 version instead. Anyway, there is now a version of Q2 on the Internet Archive so I have corrected the mistake and updated the template. — Sgconlaw (talk) 21:56, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Found the text now, thanks! Jberkel 23:48, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Jberkel: you're most welcome! — Sgconlaw (talk) 06:57, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
