@J3133: for some reason, if this template is used without specifying a page (for example, when {{RQ:Charlotte Smith Desmond|I}} is used at "Wiktionary:Quotations/Templates/English S"), it throws an error: "Expression error: Unexpected < operator." I can't see why this might be the case, since you have tested whether the page is specified by adding {{#if:{{{page|}}}{{{pageref|}}}{{{2|}}} […]}}.
