Bug

[edit]

@Ioaxxere For some reason text won't get bolded inside the title parameter (check out the second quotation at Dobbs). lattermint (talk) 18:25, 10 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

This is due to {{#invoke:string|replace|{{{title|{{{2|}}}}}}|'|’}} (added by @Sgconlaw) which replaces any apostrophe in the title with a fancy schmancy curly quote. You can still bold stuff with HTML <b>bold tags</b> although in the case of the Dobbs quote you don't really need to cause you already have a use in the passage (also, it's not really standard practice to bold titles although you see it occasionally). Gotcha. Speaking of the Dobbs quote, I did it in a similar way to how you would when there are multiples uses of the word in a passage, but if it's not standard practice then sure. On that note, would it be valid to cite, say, an article which only features the sought-for word in the title but not in the text? lattermint (talk) 23:01, 10 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
It is valid as any other part of the article but I don't think there's a standardized way of doing that. I like to keep the citation in the passage section like so (taken from dayger):

@Ioaxxere: The author is linked to Wikipedia even if there is no article (e.g., see farmwork). J3133 (talk) 12:40, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

@J3133: I think the issue is because of this edit that's also been made to other RQ templates by @JeffDoozan's bot. lattermint (talk) 14:04, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
