Two chapters V[edit]

@Sgconlaw: In volume III, two chapters are named “Chapter V”. To distinguish them, I have used “V1” and “V2”; however, the format should not change from “1820, [Walter Scott], chapter V1, in []” to “1820, [Walter Scott], “V1, in []”. J3133 (talk) 12:38, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

@J3133: yes, I've encountered this before. I think OED uses an asterisk after the repeated chapter number, but a superscript 1 is fine too. — Sgconlaw (talk) 14:24, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I see what you mean. Unfortunately this is something I can't fix as it's coded in Lua in "Module:quote". Perhaps @Benwing2, Ioaxxere, or @Theknightwho can help. — Sgconlaw (talk) 14:29, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Could you do chapter=chapter V1? Ioaxxere (talk) 15:43, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Ioaxxere: That would still add the quotation marks. J3133 (talk) 16:48, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── I think what I did last time was just to indicate the chapter as "V", and then add a comment using |footer= that due to a misprint the work had two chapter Vs and that this one was the second one. This is very clear but a little ungainly. — Sgconlaw (talk) 17:05, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
