Mandatory field missing in the header

[edit]

The way the template is described here, it seems the only mandatory forms are the third person singular past indicative (parameter 1) and the supine (parameter 2), but it actually also needs the third person plural past indicative (which is parameter 2, the supine being parameter 3). Compare eg.:

{{fo-verb|lærdi|lært}}

læra (third person singular past indicative lærdi, third person plural past indicative lært, supine lært)

versus

{{fo-verb|lærdi|lærdu|lært}}

læra (third person singular past indicative lærdi, third person plural past indicative lærdu, supine lært) Psi-Lord (talk) 11:40, 1 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Now that I’ve learnt more about how templates work, I realise the second parameter is actually optional, which means that weak verbs can be expressed as
{{fo-verb|lærdi||lært}}
læra (third person singular past indicative lærdi, supine lært)
I’ve also learnt more about the switches that are possible with this particular template, so maybe I myself could try writing the documentation details down in the future after all.
