In the beginning was the word,
and the word existed under Nuti,
and a god was the word.
2.
This (word) has been since the beginning under Nuti.
3.
and without him (Nuti), not a one was in that which he was.
4.
and the life was the light of mankind.
5.
And the light shined on the darkness,
and the darkness did not grasp it (the light).

There was a man sent from Nuti, under the name of Johannes.

This (man) came witnessing to bear witness under the light,
so that all believe through him (Johannes).

He was not the light,
but to bear witness under the light.
9.
There has been the light of truth which is shone to all men who come into the world.

He has been in the world,
and the world was out from him (Nuti),
and the world did not know him (Nuti).
