About me

[edit]

Welcome to my page. I’m a native Hindustani speaker who’s versed in both Nastaliq and Devanagari scripts. I enjoy studying historical linguistics, and especially phonology and phonetics, so most of my contributions will be pertaining to those. My edits should be pretty accurate in that regard but humans can still make errors.

Currently, I’m working on a “Pure Hindi” dictionary (not to be confused with “Śuddh Hindī”) or wordbook should I say (akin to Anglish), where I’m recording all tadbhava and also revitalising old ones that wouldn’t have been displaced had Āryāvarta not been invaded by culturally Perso-Arabic entities. I’m also making a chart for observed phonological changes that took place from the time of Veda’s to modern Hindi. Other than that, I’m sort of making a conlang similar to the Sino-Xenic languages, for experiment and entertainment purposes.
