My name is Halla Imam and I am interning with the Communications team at the Wikimedia Foundation in SF. I work on the blog, media production and research. I'm new to the Bay Area, hailing from Toronto, Canada, where I am a student at the Ryerson School of Journalism.I am a multimedia journalist by trade, with a strong interest in intellectual property law, coding, and media ethics. The Wikimedia movements' pursuit of open knowledge has always been something I've admired. As an organization, the standard that Wikimedia upholds sets the bar across the globe; the idea that people from all around the world are united by the same values motivates me to contribute to the organization to the best of my abilities.
I work for/provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role.
