Etymology

[edit]

Please note that we do not use "cf." in our etymologies, as that is an increasingly obscure abbreviation in English. We wrote out "compare with" in etymology sections, as we have no need to save on printed space. --EncycloPetey 02:20, 17 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

thanks!

[edit]

Any evidence that this is from Old English, not Old High German? Mglovesfun (talk) 23:27, 18 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes, try reading ANY book. There are ample sites online all saying the same thing. Google "wulfaz germanic". Don't ask daft questions that you can easily look up yourself. Goodbye.

Really? I tried War and Peace and it didn't mention it. Mglovesfun (talk) 12:00, 4 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for sharing, idiot. Yawn.

{{proto}}

[edit]

Please don't remove {{proto}} and replace it with PIE, that defeats the object of having a template proto. Mglovesfun (talk) 12:00, 4 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Then make the stupid template user-friendly, geekwad.
