Changing the style of poetic quotations

[edit]

Hey there, I want to start off by thanking you for you're contributions to the English Wiktionary. It is always good to have another contributor! I noticed that in edits like this one you have changed the separator between the lines of poetic quotations from from a slash to <br>. I would generally discourage the changes because both forms are valid, sometimes the slash form makes more sense depending on the context, and there is no need to create complete uniformity. If you are interested in creating a policy to prefer line breaks I would recommend starting a discussion at Wiktionary:Beer parlour. Thanks and take care. —The Editor's Apprentice (talk) 05:31, 6 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
