Standard Offer appeal?[edit]

I have been blocked on both enwiki and on Simple wiki. I don't know what a Standard Offer appeal is, and I hope that posting this question here will not lead to further sanctions for me on wmf pages, since this is the first time I have ever participateD in wiktionary (I think?)

There are thousands of blocked users on enwiki. Some try to appeal their block, but unfortunately there are many non-vandaL blocked wikipedians who cannot get in the gates again for various reasons. A block on enwiki is adeath sentence for many who are inclined to stick around with other wmf-projects. Ottawahitech (talk) 16:37, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I meant to say Meta. I was not blocked on Simple yet. Gale5050 (talk) 16:38, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Gale5050, happy to hear you have not been blocked on Simple. I was just trying to tell you something about myself and to tell you that you are in good company with many others. I briefly checked your contributions on enwiki talkpages and did not see you sockpuppeting, but I admit I did not have time to check carefully, and of course I cannot see deleted edits, but talkpages are usually not deleted unless their associated page is deleted. Cheers, Ottawahitech (talk) 03:38, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ottawahitech: so what happened was was it was not in the edits, but if you check my talk page Bbb23 said the block became a CU block. I think he knew that for a while but did not check. Gale5050 (talk) 01:06, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry Gale5050 you lost me. What was not in the edits? Which of your talkpages are you referring to? What did bbb23 know? By the way, aren't we supposed to ping someone if we are talking about them? Do you know if bbb23 is a user on wiktionary? I myself was blocked for a different reason than you were, but after I was blocked someone on enwiki claimed that a user I had never heard of before was my sockpuppet. Luckily in my case, if I remember correctly, that report was dismissed after a Checkuser verified it was not me. Cheers, Ottawahitech (talk) 03:55, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
