Once again: Interwiki links are to the SAME WORD in the other wikt! By the same word, I mean the SAME WORD (e.g. "hyperlink") NOT the translation!

And they are done by a bot, they are NOT TO BE ADDED MANUALLY. Robert Ullmann 15:39, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Blocked for 3 hours for not reading the above. DO NOT ADD OR MODIFY interwiki links. Robert Ullmann 15:56, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

But if in a page like http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/browser there is a tag like *French: [[navigateur]] {{m}} or *Portuguese: [[navegador]] {{m}} * they never show it READ content that is not in http://en.wiktionary.org/ but well in http://fr.wiktionary.org/ or http://pt.wiktionary.org/

Translations and interwiki[edit]

Hi,

It's like this:

  • The iwiki links (at the bottom of the page), link to the same word in the other wikt.
  • The translated word is linked to its own entry here.

If you want something like the French trad template, some people here have been using template {{t}}, you can try that if you like. But at some point we may decide to remove all of them (or not.) It is an open issue. Robert Ullmann 13:17, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

And the best thing to do is to create the entry for the Portuguese word here; it will then automatically get the robot iwiki links. (Oh, and I did get your email, thank you!) Robert Ullmann 13:43, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes. All you are doing would be done automatically by a bot that runs every few weeks on all versions of Wiktionary. SemperBlotto 17:54, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
