A question about 3rd-person singular form[edit]

Hello, sorry for disturbing, I didn't know if I should bother you about this, but why is 3rd-person singular of bewalwian is sœ̄cþ, is this an error or some rule? It looks strange for me, besides, bewealwian's Conjugation doesn't have anything similar. I only wanted to figure it out. Birdofadozentides (talk) 17:01, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I just copy and paste the tables from other articles instead of finding the template for it. Pretty lazy I know. Thanks for pointing that out I'll go and change it. sœ̄cþ is from another word I wrote I think.

Thanks for answering, I'm glad it's fixed. Birdofadozentides (talk) 18:39, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't this supposed to be geþeode, which we already have an entry for? mellohi! (僕の乖離) 04:39, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I saw it on requested entries, I decided to make a page for it anyway.

Major issues with your Old English edits[edit]

Several major issues with your Old English entries include:

  • Your tendency to default your conjugation tables to weak class 1. This is a very serious mistake, since Old English verbs often are strong, or weak class 2 as well. If you don't know how to inflect a lemma, leave the table out please. Some mistaken entries include:
  • Bad IPA, such as aweorpan (wrong vowels) among others.
  • Not checking for attestations - I couldn't find þeode in any of Bosworth-Toller's entries or quotes for instance.

In short, please do your research before editing things like this. mellohi! (僕の乖離) 21:17, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
