Rapa Nui is a language with limited documentation, and thus only needs one approved use or mention to be cited. Approved sources for mentions are: any durably written material by a knowledgeable linguist (like de Feu or the Diccionario Etimológico Rapanui-Español) or durably written material by someone who speaks Rapa Nui with some fluency or is demonstrably knowledgeable about the island. Books like The Meaning of Tingo, which are for entertainment purposes only and do not have any linguistic scholarship, are disallowed as sources of mentions.
