Transcription[edit]

See previous discussion. JLect uses halfwidth characters for transcribing Miyako. I'm thinking about using Ainu characters for transcribing Miyako, as, so far, they appear to suffice. As a quick example, see すぃむくㇲ. With regards to rendaku forms, I was able to create one as ㇲ゙ with the rendaku mark, which rendaku mark JLect uses also. There also appears to be a halfwidth rendaku mark in Unicode, so I don't know if we should use that, but consider the following: 1. It renders weirdly for me (like way to the right of a character, test: ㇲ゙). 2. Sutegana are technically not halfwidth (compare them here). 3. We don't know how actual usage goes - JLect is using the rendaku mark even with the halfwidth characters. Nibiko (talk) 01:35, 29 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
