====Further semantic relations====[edit]

The ELE section that covers "Antonyms", "Other allowable -nyms", "Coordinate terms", and "See also" is called ====Further semantic relations====. I can understand why you're not proposing to move "See also" up at the same time as "Coordinate terms" — that's more complicated, and much more likely to be controversial, so definitely merits a separate vote — but I do think this would be a good opportunity to replace "Antonyms", "Other allowable -nyms", and "Coordinate terms" with something like "Further semantic relations (except See also)". —RuakhTALK 23:44, 30 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

"Synonyms, Antonyms, Other allowable -nyms" looks better to me than "Synonyms, Further semantic relations". The former is more intuitive than the latter, which requires previous knowledge of the existence of meronyms, holonyms and whatnot to be well understood.
Anyway, your proposal is a little more complex than just moving "Coordinate terms" up, so I would wait another vote for that, anyway... Assuming the current vote passes, it would show a consensus for the simple idea of having the semantic sections together that presumably would help further improvement.
I would also like to take my time to discuss and review the problem of "See also" better, if possible. "Further semantic relations (except See also)" looks too much like a temporary solution, waiting to be revised, since it draws attention to the fact that "See also" is an exception. --Daniel 17:51, 31 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
