Borrowed from French blessure. Attested since 1660.

- a (minor) wound (with breaking of the skin, usually from fighting)
- En av poliserna fick en mindre blessyr i ansiktet vid bråket
- One of the police officers received a minor wound to the face during the fight
- Det är bara en blessyr. Han kan snart spela igen.
- It's just a scratch. He'll soon be able to play again.
