[edit]Etymology
[edit]The original meaning is related to lëkurë (“skin”) and cullak (“naked”). Etymologically related to cullnik (“shpeherd's leather bag”), both from an earlier form *cul-nik with the regular ln transformation into palatal l, and u into ë and later into a (similar to urdh into ardhi and luguruzhdë into garuzhdë), from cull (“child”).[1]
