conill
Catalan
Etymology
From Lua error in Module:etymology at line 156: Old Occitan (pro) is not set as an ancestor of Catalan (ca) in Module:languages/data/2. The ancestor of Catalan is Old Catalan (roa-oca). (compare Occitan conilh), from Vulgar Latin *cuniclus (compare Spanish conejo, Italian coniglio), from Latin cunīculus originally “burrow”, from Ancient Greek κύνικλος (kúniklos), of uncertain (probably Iberian) origin; compare Basque untxi (“rabbit”), Mozarabic conchair (“greyhound”).
