      • c. 177 CE, Aulus Gellius, Noctes Atticae 1.20.1:
        Figūrārum, quae σχήματα geōmetrae appellant, genera sunt duo, 'plānum' et 'solidum'.
        Of figures, which geometers call σχήματα, there are two kinds, 'plane' and 'solid'.
