1. (informal, low register) Contraction of isn't it.

   Synonyms: ain't it, (slang) [Term?]

2. (British, informal) Used as a replacement for any other negative tag question, irrespective of person, number, or verb. May precede the statement.

   Innit dolphins are a type of whale?

   You were dissing my girl, innit?

3. (British, informal) Used as a discourse marker.

   I like pop music, innit.

• When used as a generic tag question in British English, sometimes associated with Multicultural London English, but may be considered bad or broken English by some speakers.
