Estonian[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From kes + the particle -gi.

Pronoun[edit]

keegi (genitive kellegi, partitive kedagi)

  1. someone, somebody

Usage notes[edit]

This word has two declension types, the colloquial version treats the particle -gi as part of the root and declines the word regularly from the genitive form, the formal declension always places the particle at the end.

Speakers may use both declension types, or even mix the forms, but the colloquial version is generally more common.
