Etymology

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Albanian *krōda, Identical with Proto-Slavic *krasti (to steal), as shown by the related krydh. Further relation to similar Slavic verbs or to Latvian krâju, krât (to gather, to collect) are uncertain.[1]
