Possibly of (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Lua error in Module:parameters at line 307: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "gem" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E. origin; cf. (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Frankish *lekkon, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Germanic *likkōną, whence Old English liccian (Modern English lick). Compare French lécher. Alternatively, perhaps from a (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Vulgar Latin root *ligicāre, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Latin lingere, lingō.
